During a fire, the cable material selection can influence smoke density and corrosive gas emissions. LSZH classification alone is not a complete specification, so designers should also review flame propagation, fire resistance, voltage and installation requirements.

The correct product should be selected against the standards and performance level required by the project, rather than by a general cable-family name alone.
